Many people here in the East End of Newcastle are currently grappling with financial challenges, exacerbated by soaring food and energy prices coupled with the lingering effects of the pandemic. Many locals find themselves in the heartbreaking position of being unable to afford basic necessities, including putting food on their tables. The Building Futures East Emergency Food Bank is on the front lines, directly delivering essential parcels to those in urgent need in Walker and Byker.

Beyond supplying food parcels, this small charity goes the extra mile by providing households with vital hygiene products, essential period items, baby necessities, and even pet food whenever possible. During the harsh winter months, they extend their support by offering warm spaces at their offices, too.

Craft Beer Newcastle was founded with a mission to showcase the best of the North East beer scene. Being a part of our local community, we see how much hardship is right here in our area, and are determined to make a positive impact, so since 2023 all of our profits are donated to Building Futures East. You'll find us popping up at beer festivals, especially those where the North East beer scene is underrepresented, and at Local Heroes NE Food Markets across our region.
