Eric's 24HR + 1YR TATERVERSARY CHARITY STREAM!

I'm just a kid who grew up in Brooklyn. there's a lot to my story yes, but there are people who I owe for that. My grandmother being one of those people. Of course being the first born I was spoiled but she also taught me many things, like how to be kind to others. Many things that people I meet and respect me for I owe to her. Diabetes was something I knew of but never knew about, as a child I never knew the seriousness it entailed if not kept in check. I always saw my grandmother as someone who could live to be 100 just because of her spirit alone. Unfortunately I was young and naïve. My grandmother I believe did her best to keep her Diabetes in check. She taught me to never give up, so in her honor I want to raise awareness even a little to help fight this disease and hopefully one day cure it.
Diabetes is one of the most common and serious chronic diseases in the United States. The incidence of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes is rapidly increasing: 30 million Americans have diabetes, and 1 million more are diagnosed every year. This includes 18,000 children who are diagnosed with type 1 diabetes each year. Diabetes Action is a highly rated charity with consistently low overhead. Thank you for donating to Diabetes Action to help fund diabetes research and education.
