Story
Having kept Eden staff afloat during the lockdown of all schools
in Uganda, Eden is now running smoothly for all exam students (88 "O"
level, 56 "A" level)
Moses, Director at Eden, has identified their most pressing need at present to be their IT hardware. He's agreed with his colleagues that the following would equip the school very well indeed:
- Monitor, mouse and keyboard sets (32 in total)
- Power stabiliser (this is essential because voltage surges in Uganda can knock out computers)
- Servers (two needed)
- Ncomputing system card (six needed)
- Window curtains (these are essential due to the dust in Uganda. Curtains will help to keep the equipment dust free and functioning well!)
- TV screen for lesson demos
- Cables and other accessories
- Technician labour
A monitor, mouse and keyboard set costs £81, but if you're able to provide Gift Aid, then a payment of £65 would cover it, with the remainder coming from the tax you've already paid! Please see the photo below for a breakdown of the costs.
Eden will be using a local Ugandan company to support the with the installation.
