We deliver sport, health & disability work to connect communities & improve lives

Story

Hello Everyone,

We are the  Claret Mountaineers! As a team we are looking to climb Snowdon in a bid to raise £5000

for Northampton Town FC Community Trust to deliver more accessible programmes
in the local community.

Northampton Town FC Community’s vision is “To create a
healthy, happy and connected Northamptonshire”. NTFC CT are looking to achieve their mission and aims through delivery in four key areas:

  • Education
  • Health
  • Disability & Inclusion
  • Sports Participation

We are looking to raise funds which will go towards two of
the key areas in Health and Disability & Inclusion. All proceeds will go
towards the Trust being able to set up and deliver Free lifestyle behaviour change programmes (Fit Cobblers) around the county as well as help them to provide more opportunities to children, young people and adults with disabilities such as Downs Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and those who are deaf and partially sighted to engage in physical activity on a regular basis. Finally one of the key priorities of our inclusion programme is to help set up activities for adults who are suffering with Mental Health issues, a safe space where adults can  develop qualities such as resilience, confidence and overall  mindfulness.

Our team is made up of current and former participants,
staff and volunteers who have benefitted greatly from the Health &
Wellbeing and Disability Football programmes and this is our opportunity for us to do our part as fans and patrons of the club and Community Trust to make a difference to people’s lives for the better.

Just to give you a little more context on what the money
raised will go towards, please see a small breakdown of how much it costs to run or Fit Cobblers programme or a bespoke disability sport programme.

£50 is the cost to hire a venue to provide safe space for a
child or young adult with a disability to engage with others who have similar needs to have fun, make friends and participate in a game of football.

£120 raised for our lifestyle behaviour change programme is
enough to cover the cost for an obese adult to attend our course for FREE so the Trust can help them move towards leading a healthier and happier lifestyle.

£250 can help the Community Trust setup and deliver a block of 6 football sessions for male adults suffering with mental health issues, so they can provide a safe space to find joy in the little things such as playing football, socially engaging with their peers and boosting their wellbeing

£500 raised for the Multi Disability Club is enough to help
the Trust organise a regional football tournament for children, young people and adults with various disabilities to have fun and create memories with their friends.

£800 is enough for the Community Trust to set and deliver a bespoke physical activity session for young people with cerebra palsy or Down syndrome for 4 months

£1200 raised for Health and Wellbeing department is enough
for us to setup and deliver a new 12 week programme in another area of the county such as Daventry /Kettering

For every £1 donated by you, you can truly be part the
change Northampton Town FC Community Trust are looking to make in the community and help towards achieving their mission of a healthier and happier Northampton.

We appreciate all the help we can get no matter how little as even the smallest deeds can change the lives for many.

Thank you for your donation, and being part of our journey
