CLAPA is a support organisation for all those affected by cleft lip and/or palate. One in 700 children are born with this condition. We provide information, advice, and support through our online events led by staff members and volunteers. Facebook groups, and peer and parent support services.

Story

As a group of 13, we are climbing Goatfell on Arran to raise further awareness and funds for the CLAPA charity.

Good friends of ours David and Lynnette have just given birth to a baby boy 'Shaw David Mitchell'.  Shaw is doing great, he is fit and healthy and enjoying settling in with his family.

David and Lynnette were put in touch with the CLAPA Charity as Shaw will require treatment for potential cleft lip and palate issues. They have benefited greatly from the advice and support from the Hospitals Cleft Team, as they prepare for Shaw to undergo surgery to ensure any issues are minimized as he grows up.

David hopes to raise further awareness for CLAPA through various avenues.

As David and Lynnette's friends we also hope to help raise further awareness and and funds for the Charity. Any donations will be much appreciated. Thanks :)
