This page is in memory of my close friend and colleague Dr Bernie Barnicoat, who sadly died recently. Whilst he worked within the Faculty of Health for many years and taught 100's of nurses on a wide variety of programmes, he remained true to physiology roots and loved parasitology. He set up the first Global Health and Humanitarian Relief degree in the UK so the work of SCI was very close to his heart. 

I know he would be thrilled if donations in his name could be made to help their very important work. Thank you.
