Story
On August 11th I will be running the NDW 50, a footrace that tabs the North Downs Way in Surrey for 50 miles, from Farnham to Sevenoaks. This will be a huge challenge, both physically and mentally, and will be my first attempted ultramarathon.
I have decided to allocate any raised sponsorship money to the independent humanitarian medical aid organization MSF - "Doctors Without Borders".
For those who are unaware of their work, MSF sends medical personnel to some of the most destitute and dangerous parts of the world to save lives and condemn the injustices they encounter. They won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1999 and deploy 27,000 staff internationally.
For me, MSF are unique because they treat anyone, regardless of politics, religion or race, and have been vocal in denouncing malpractices of the pharmaceutical industry. However, MSF depends on private donations for 90% of their funding, so needs grassroots support to keep doing what they do.
For further information on MSF and their work, please do visit their website - http://www.msf.org.uk/about.aspx

It's very easy to sponsor me - just click 'donate' on this webpage and follow the instructions - it should only take around 2 minutes of your time, for an extremely worthwhile cause.
Thanks for visiting the page, I'll try to keep it updated with training progress reports and the like.
