Story

Hello all, and thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you know at the tail end of 2014, after an incredibly valiant battle with cancer, we lost a truely inspirational man in John Dean.

After his passing I decided to approach Sandra, her daughters Mel & Abbie, as well as the rest of their family to offer to run the bath half marathon to raise money for Macmillan Cancer support, and it was an offer that was most welcomed by them all.

Through my many visits to the hospital and later the hospice with his granddaughter  bexs, I saw first hand the support offered by these charities, and I can honestly say it really does make an awfully painful and traumatic period that little bit easier for both the patient and their families and friends.

John was an incredibly respected man, who's grit and determination in the face of a horrific illness was and will continue to be an inspiration to all who knew him.

Thank you once again and please do donate anything you can spare.

Cheers,

Chris :)
