Story

In early January 2015, Chorley Group chairman, Andrew Turner went through spinal surgery. After much rehabilitation and a successful recovery Andrew and his brother Peter Turner have embarked on a fund raising event in aid of Chorley Mencap.

The trip will cover approximately 1100 km starting in Basel, Switzerland the cycle will head north along the river Rhine, via France, Germany and then the Netherlands. Along the way they will visit 9 Unesco World Heritage sites, visiting Alsace, the Rhine Gorge, Koblenz, Cologne and finally ending the journey in Rotterdam, Netherlands taking a ferry back to Hull.

Should Andrew NOT complete this massive challenge all money pledged will be paid for by himself.

WE HAVE REACHED OUR INITIAL TARGET OF £5000 THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH ... IT COSTS £7500 TO MAKE CHORLEY MENCAP AVAILABLE TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY FOR 1 WHOLE YEAR ... LET'S SEE IF WE CAN GIVE THEM A YEAR'S WORTH OF SUPPORT
