The British Red Cross, a charity incorporated by Royal Charter 1908, helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives.

Story

I thought after completing a marathon in OZ last year I would have had enough of this running malarkey-but no! I'm back for more...New York City- 2006 marathon-Bring it on!

However, this time I thought i would put the blood, sweat, tears and post training ice cream and gin and tonics to good use by raising money for the British Red Cross.

The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies. They enable vulnerable people in the UK and abroad to prepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, they help them to recover and move on with their lives.

In this age where disasters, of both natural or human cause seem to be occuring more and more frequently I can think of no more worthy charity to raise money for! So please please dig deep and sponsor me online now.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The British Red Cross will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thanks for your support
