Not long after she was born, our third daughter, Xanthe, was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. CF is a life-limiting genetic condition affecting more than 10,000 people across the UK. It affects the lungs and digestive system and can cause chronic infections and reduced lung function.
Xanthe's sister, Clemmie, has been desperate to raise some money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust; a charity fighting for a brighter future for people with CF and their families by funding cutting-edge research, driving up standards of care and supporting people with the condition and their loved ones every step of the way. She and her best friend, Katy-Willow, decided to organise a concert involving their school friends and the idea has really blossomed. Many in their school year are performing, including the Year 4 choir, and some of the Dads have even formed an ensemble for this one night only!
The concert is taking place at 5pm on Sunday 17th March at St Mary with St Alban, Teddington. Many of those who can't make it have asked where they can donate and this is the place! Any donation is so greatly appreciated for a very important cause, not just for Xanthe, but for the future of all those suffering from the condition.
With very many thanks in advance,
Nick and Laura (and Clemmie and Katy-Willow)
