Cookridge Community Run 2024
Thanks to all our runners, volunteers, sponsors and partners that made the Cookridge Community Run another special event, where over 300 runners took part in aid of Cancer Research and local community initiatives.
This year your amazing efforts and donations helped us to raise over £10,500 and takes our total to £179,000.
Thank you to every single one of you, we hope to see you all again in 2025.
Call for support!
Please let us know if there is a local community appeal or charity that we might be able to support. We are looking for sport-based initiatives for young people in particular that may benefit from support from the Cookridge Community Run.
With best wishes from the Cookridge Community Run Committee and the family of Gareth Dunn

This is the official fundraising page for donations and sponsorship for the Cookridge Community Run 2024 including the 10K race and 1-mile Fun Run. Now in its fifth year the Cookridge Community 10K promises to be another great run. A beautiful running route with over 400 runners taking part in support of Cancer Research and local community charity initiatives. We are aiming to beat our target this year and aim to raise over £13,325. Together with your race entry, any donations and sponsorship will help us raise even more money to fund Sarcoma research through Cancer Research UK and for local community charity initiatives by continuing the fundraising legacy of local fundraiser and runner Gareth Dunn who passed away in 2018, aged 27 after raising over £100,000 for Cancer Research, and in whose memory this race is held.
100% of your race entry goes to our charity foundation with a big thanks to all our sponsors for supporting the race, including race partners - Bannatyne Health Clubs and Ivory Dental.https://www.cookridgecommunityrun.co.uk/-------Thank you to all our runners, volunteers and supporters for making the Cookridge Community 10K and Fun Run 2023 a massive success once again and helping us to raise £13,325 - smashing our record and target! Over £11,000 has helped to support Sarcoma research through Cancer Research UK with further funds going to local initiatives including Cookridge Village Scout Group and Cookridge Holy Trinity Primary School to fund their facilities and sporting programmes. A most sincere thank you from our family and the Cookridge Community Run committee
