Charle Simms Memory Walk challenge- raising awareness of eating disorders
The Charlie Simms Memory Walk challenge is an opportunity to raise awareness of eating disorders and the fantastic support offered by the UK’s leading eating disorder charity, Beat.
As many of you know, my beautiful twin sister, Charlie, fought Anorexia Nervosa for 25 years and sadly lost her life to the illness last November. The Charlie Simms Memorial fund was set up earlier this year to raise funds and awareness of eating disorders in partnership with Beat.
The Charlie Simms memory walks are a great way to both remember Charlie, for those that knew her, as well as raise awareness of eating disorders and encourage more people to ask for the support they need.
The Charlie Simms Memory Walk challenge will be open for the next 50 days until July 21st.
This is the date which would have been Charlie (and mine’) 40th birthday. On that day I will be walking my own memory walk with my two older sisters. We will walk 40km on the South Downs way, to celebrate our birthday and remember her. This will be a private family walk, however we’d love for you to join in by doing your own memory walks.
How you take part in a Charlie Simms Memory Walk:
There are two ways you can join in:
1. Do a memory walk on your chosen day
2. 100km challenge - complete 100km of walking between now and July 21st (this works out as 2km a day for 50 days).
Follow these steps to take part:

Thank you so much for your support.
