Story
The Black British City Group (BBCG) invites you to its third annual charity fundraiser, ‘City Generosity III' on 25th June, in aid of Sistah Space, a community-based non-profit initiative created to bridge the gap in domestic abuse services for African heritage women and girls.
Sistah Space serves Black women and girls affected by domestic violence. They assist their beneficiaries, who are often on the fringes of society, with advice, support with engaging with the police and other authorities, essential products and temporary accommodation provision. Sistah Space’s mission is to encourage Black and ethnic minority victims to report abuse by providing a culturally safe venue and support system for them to do so, and to encourage community integration.
City Generosity III will feature drinks, canapés, music, art, giveaways and most importantly, generosity! We will see performances from the likes of Kwaku Asante and art work displayed by Xavi Art, Keleenna Onyeaka and many more.
BBCG will donate the proceeds from City Generosity III to Sistah Space so that they may continue to serve and empower Black survivors of domestic violence. This year, Sistah Space made history by getting their campaign for Valerie's Law heard by the government for the first time and the charity has big plans for future impact which the proceeds of City Generosity will help them achieve. Expect to be touched by inspirational testimonies from women whose lives have been transformed by Sistah Space's work. Further general information on Sistah Space can be found here.
The Mondrian, Shoreditch is one of London’s most chic and sought-after luxury lifestyle hotels, set in the heart of Shoreditch and City Generosity III will be hosted in the venue's ballroom, featuring a private bar and entrance.
The dress code is cocktail attire. We ask that you please arrive at 6.45pm, to be greeted with a complimentary glass of bubbles, ahead of a prompt start at 7pm.
If for whatever reason you cannot make it to City Generosity III or would just like to make a personal donation to Sistah Space, please donate on this page.
