Story

Outline of the challenge

Members of the Specialist Rescue Team (SRT) from the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service intend to take part in a sporting challenge which has never been accomplished / attempted before. The team will make their way to Scotland, climb Ben Nevis, descend and cycle from the base of Ben Nevis to the Mull of Kintyre, board kayaks and paddle from Scotland to Northern Ireland, cycle from coast of Co Antrim to base of Slieve Donard and finally ascend Donard. Members of a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service may also be taking part in the event.
