Dad was diagnosed with bowel cancer in October 2018 following routine screening tests. Unfortunately his cancer mutated and was not stopped by the initial chemo and spread to his liver. Despite several months of further chemo this did not stop him continuing life to the full. We have chosen this charity as it is supported by his adored Shetland Ponies through the Shetland Pony Grand National and last summer his granddaughter raced on his pony - a very proud moment for him. Dad always believed that there is a solution to everything and eventually with proper funding and research his type of Cancer will be curable in the future.
