Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am joining my good friend Alison Gilmour in completing the Glasgow Kiltwalk 2025, on behalf of the charity where she works as a nurse - The Haven.

The Haven provides practical and emotional support to individuals, families, children, young people and carers across Lanarkshire affected by life-limiting illnesses or bereavement. Alison has said the below about working for the Haven:

As a Nurse at The Haven, I see the great need for the services the charity provides. Being able to provide emotional support to my clients who have life limiting illnesses and their carers/ family members is an honour. Each one of them inspires me with their strength and resilience. I am also involved in providing emotional support to people who are bereaved. Helping clients to navigate their way through the loss and grief they feel. Seeing these clients progress in their journey and finding strength to carry on is amazing.

I'm sure you will agree that this is a very worthwhile cause, and so any support you are able to offer, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated!
