Most of you will know that in 1997, I contracted Meningitis, and was very lucky to make a full recovery. Life since has been great - marriage, fantastic family and friends, a career I love, and of course, the absolute joy of Tara. So many people who contract Meningitis are not so lucky, and for this reason, I hope to raise as much money as possible to help those who were less fortunate than me.

Both Andy and I were determined to make 2008 a great year for us, and also it's time for a new challenge. The event is The Great South Run, and the training has started. It's tough, but I'm determined to battle on, and above all, enjoy it!
