Story
I joined the register for delete blood cancer a couple of years ago and really thought no more of it, I was really surprised recently to get a call to say that I am a match for someone who needs either my cells/bone marrow in order to recover from a cancer such as leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma, I am now awaiting the next stage of results and really hope that the results come back confirming that I will be able to help them.
It has made me realise the important work that the charity do and because of that Gavin and I have chosen to support them at Rock Solid, completing the 15k length of the course and a large number of obstacles.
Every 20 minutes, someone in the UK is told they have a blood cancer like leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma,
If you are not able to support us please give some thought to joining the register, it is only a simple swab inside your cheek and you could save someones life.
