Story

Thank you for visiting my Kiltwalk Just Giving Page.

I am raising money for my local community woodlands and community garden.

The woods and garden where created in 2013 by two local mums who wanted to ensure a green space which their kids could access. At that time the site was derelict and has since been brought to life by many dedicated volunteers. Over the years the Community Woods and Garden has grown and developed. They now have lovely woodland trails, a flourishing growing space, a community workshop, and a wonderful team of volunteers who grow a wide range of fruit and veg for the local community lunch club and who also share their many skills with others

The Woodlands were one of the main attractions for moving to the area during lockdown. This is me and my dog Robbie’s favourite place to go for a walk and to relax and unwind. Robbie can be anxious around other dogs, so the woodland walk provides a relaxing walking and exploring space for us both.

I want to help raise some funds for this vital community resource that is a wonderful place for everyone’s physical and mental health. If you can contribute you have our thanks!
