I have decided to do the British Gas Great London Swim and raise money for The Stroke Association.  I have lost two dear friends and one beloved cat to strokes in the last few years and Darren's Nan has suffered two major and more than a few minor strokes which have taken away her speech, mobilty, independence and dignity. 

The Stroke Association carries out research into stroke prevention and treatment, rehabilitation and long term care.  They also educate and give support to the families of stroke victims in times of great need.

So in memory of Avril, Tina, and my darling Lenny I am going to wade into the murky waters of the River Thames and swim a mile!  All you have to do is get your credit card out and click a few buttons.
