At Lakeside YMCA, we have a unique approach to facilitating the learning and development of young people and you can now help us, and them, on the journey.   Our new building work is underway, we’ve raised £6.3million of our £6.8 million target to create a 265-bed state of the art facility on the southern shores of Lake Windermere.One million children and young people have had the opportunity to take part in a ‘Lakeside experience’ since the centre first opened its doors in the1950s. Every year over 180 different schools and youth groups use the centre bringing with them 7000 children and young people. Many of our buildings have been in continual use since we first opened and desperately need to be replaced.
