Story
Yarm Cricket Club has seen a steady rise in junior participation in recent years, starting out with 10-20 juniors in 2011 to having well over 100 in 2020. In recent years we have improved the pavilion facilities, purchased mobile nets and have just finished a major outfield renovation.
At present we're struggling to cater for the increased numbers, with only a small amount of usable space at our ground and the impact of a very busy fixture schedule on availability.
At present juniors can only train on Saturday mornings and maybe the odd evening now and then. To increase the amount of hours available for coaching and practice: We intend to install a new 2 bay non-turf net system on our ground, allowing us to cater for the increased participation and giving us a facility that can be used for coaching whilst matches are in play.
The facility would be available to not only members, but also local schools and organisations. It would give all participants a safe environment to practice, learn the game, improve skills and grow as a player.

- Established in 1814
- 3 senior teams (1st, 2nd and 3rdXI) and five junior teams (U10, U11, 12, 13, 15)
- ECB All Stars Academy for children aged 5-7
- ECB Dynamos for children aged 8-11
- Clubmark accredited
- Affiliated to the Yorkshire Cricket Board
- 15+ qualified ECB Coaching Staff
- Host of junior County fixtures and school competitions
In achieving this project Yarm Cricket Club would then have the facilities it requires to continue offering excellent coaching, increase participation and in turn provide a sustainable future.
