The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profile'From small acorns do mighty oaks grow,' goes the adage and this is certainly true for Golden Charter and the Woodland Trust's corporate partnership.
21 years ago Golden Charter decided to make a donation to the Woodland Trust for every funeral plan sold, and this year total donations will reach just over £994,000. This has helped the charity plant over 300,000 trees across the UK - equivalent to woodland the size of 250 Hampden Park football pitches!
These are milestones worth celebrating, and what better way than with the 'Golden Challenge' on Saturday 3 September? Golden Charter staff and their families will be challenged to trek, run or pedal 21km around Loch Katrine next to the Trust-owned Glen Finglas estate. Woodland Trust staff will join in too!
We hope to raise £21,000, taking the total raised to over £1M to support the work of the Woodland Trust. All of their sites are free for people to access and enjoy, and they also provide homes to some of the UK's best loved wildlife.
