Last year, our team consisted of 72 runners and walkers who — along with our sponsors — raised more than $52,000.

WGSR FACTS:  Over 10,000 dogs saved since 2002. 185 is the average number of dogs at any one time cared for by the rescue or placed in foster homes. We have 50 active and some 200 occasional volunteers who help run the rescue.  $50,000 is Team Westside’s fundraising goal for the 2017 LA Marathon & Big 5K. The rescue is 100% funded by adoption fees and donations. $30,000 is the average monthly vet bill, many animals arrive with infections, kennel cough and even serious injuries  $1,000 is the average cost to feed, house and care for just one animal until adoptionYour donation today will help us reach our goal to help the homeless dogs of Westside German Shepherd Rescue.
