Story
The Manchester Memorial Fund is a separate fund recently set up by the Lord Mayor of Manchester's Charity Appeal Trust (also known as 'We Love Manchester Charity'). The Fund will go towards the costs of establishing a permanent memorial or memorials for the 22 May attack at Manchester Arena.
The Manchester Memorials Advisory Group has been established to help develop plans for at least one lasting, permanent memorial following the Manchester attack. The Group will oversee a consultation process in which the views and voices of bereaved families will play a central part.
Other people directly affected are also being invited to participate in the consultation and the wider public will have the chance to contribute. It is expected that this process may take some time to get right.
We Are Manchester, September’s benefit concert staged by Manchester Arena, has raised over £330,000 for the Manchester Memorial Fund.
The Manchester Memorial Fund should not be confused with the We Love Manchester Emergency Fund, the separate fund run in association with the Red Cross to help support those who suffered loss, injury or trauma in the Arena attack.
All donations received via this Just Giving Page will go towards the Manchester Memorial Fund, established by the Lord Mayor of Manchester's Charity Appeal Trust.
