Story
The National Citizen Service (NCS) is a government funded programme to give 16-17 year olds the opportunity to conquer their fears, learn new skills and importantly, to volunteer and support their local community.
On the 12th November, NCS students will be abseiling 160ft down St Mary's Church, conquering their fear of heights but also raising money for a fantastic charity, Home-Start.
Home-Start is one of the leading family support charities in the UK. Volunteers help families with young children deal with the challenges they face, supporting parents as they learn to cope, improve their confidence and build better lives for their children. Each year, volunteers help over 120 families in Three Rivers, Watford and Bushey however there are many more families that need their support.
With each family costing the charity £600 for 6 months of support, everything raised goes a long way.
Please sponsor our NCS young people and in return, support a fantastic charity.
