Story
This September, 25 A&O and War Child staff from around the world will come together to trek across Jordan’s beautiful mountainous landscapes rated one of the world’s best hikes by National Geographic. Led by a local Bedouin guide, the trek starts in the beautiful Dana Reserve and crosses the four biosphere climates of Jordan's largest nature reserve, finishing in the ancient 'Rose-Red City' of Petra.
The four day trek starts on the 14th September, meaning the temperature will be extremely hot adding to the already challenging conditions of this 60km route across the mountainous desert.
The money raised from the trek will go directly to support War Child's programs that provide protection, education and livelihood support for the most marginalised children who have been affected by conflict.
