In 2019 over 350 young people and adults in Scotland will take part in a wilderness journey with Venture Trust. These individuals are right now struggling with many and complex issues in their lives. These include addiction, homelessness, isolation, trauma and abuse.  

Individuals are supported in their communities before and after taking part in the wilderness journey to break down barriers and break free from cycles of disadvantage. On the wilderness journey, far away from the pressures of home, through physical, emotional and social challenges they are stretched out of their comfort zone to develop their confidence, resilience, motivation and skills.  For many taking part, this time will be catalytic.
