Visit the charity's profileWe are delighted to have partnered with the Great Run Company again for the Bristol 10k 2020, and we are inviting students, staff and alumni to Get up, Get together and Get active in support of Healthy Minds.
We know that suffering with mental ill health disrupts students’ academic studies and personal lives, often causing them to miss out on the transformative and enriching experiences offered by higher education. We also know that physical activity can boost mood and reduce feelings of anxiety, stress and depression. These findings are at the heart of Healthy Minds. Our Healthy Minds programme supports students affected by mental ill health in increasing their levels of physical activity in a way that is right for them. Students receive a personalised and mentored activity programme, with access to the range of sporting facilities and opportunities available on campus. Since its launch in 2016, Healthy Minds has supported hundreds of students, including Bethany and Isaac, and achieved significant improvements in levels of self-reported wellbeing.
Healthy Minds runs with help from the University of Bristol, but the more money you help us raise, the more support we can provide to more students during their time at Bristol.
