In response to the refugee crisis the University of Brighton established the Global Opportunities Scholarship programme, giving asylum seekers the opportunity to continue their education.
Scholars benefit from a full package of educational and vocational support and by donating to this fund you can help students reach their academic goals and secure a positive future at a time when their future looks hopeless.
Emad (left) who is studying for an MSc in Marketing, left his home in Syria when the bombing of Aleppo began in 2012: “This scholarship means the world to me. I have a chance now, a chance to continue my studies and to help my family. I can only say thank you to everybody who gives to the scholarship fund.”
The impact of your support is almost immeasurable; it gives desperate people, whose lives have been destroyed through circumstances beyond their control, a chance to rebuild their lives.
