Story
TRIBE don't like pretense and they're not aiming for perfect. They want to be fearless & empower everyone to test their limits. That's why in 2018 they launched the TRIBE 10% Project. **Text 'TRBE10 £10' to 70070 to support**
On the 20th May 2018, over 300 TRIBE members will put their bodies under test, pushing their limits to cut their Half Marathon PB by 10%, all as part of our mission to fight Modern Slavery in the UK.
The Hackney Half 10% Project is our way of defying the injustice of Modern Slavery. Our absolute freedom to run, as a TRIBE, covering thousands of miles in training together, and pushing our boundaries to cut that 10% is a privilege as much as it is a challenge.
Our 2018 fundraising target is £100,000 to support two outstanding font line anti-slavery projects:
- Ella’s Home is an East-London based safe-house providing rehabilitation, accommodation, and support for women exiting situations of trafficking and exploitation. In partnership with Luminary Bakery, they also offer training and employment opportunities, helping survivor’s to regain independence.
- Snowdrop Project is a Sheffield-based charity and one of the first in the UK to provide long-term follow-on support for survivors. They work with clients on an individual basis to ensure their personal and complex needs are met. Since inception, they have developed and expanded their successful model, increasing both their capacity and their impact.
