Dry January has sparked the conversation around our newest venture for the local community. And we have received a wealth of interest, support and advise from so many people, we want to say a massive thank you to those that have been involved so far. Help us make it happen!

The average person spends £50,000 on alcohol over a lifetime. Let’s keep the conversation and the Mocktails flowing don’t stop through March!

We aim to reduce the impact of alcohol addiction and substance misuse in Gloucestershire. The Sober Parrot will be a safe space for those affected by these issues, and also those who don’t want to be around alcohol, to meet, socialise, gain new skills and connect with the wider community.

This conversation does end when dry January does! We're a non-profit organisation relying on local funding to get us started. A study has shown that for every £1 invested in the project, we can turn it into £9.71 of value to your community.

What we have achieved so far

- Secured the premises - Renovated the building - Finalised the branding – Ordered a kitchen – Started advertising for staff – Beginning to realise final vision!

What next?

Now for the last push all those last odds and ends – cutlery, glassware, cups, saucers to work to realising our final vision and making sure you don’t have to eat with your fingers!!

From making a one off donation, to joining forces with friends or colleagues to host a ‘mocktail’ party, there are plenty of ways to get involved! Whatever you’re doing, we’d love to hear from you.
