Story
Former England Rugby Captain and founder of The Foundation, Lewis Moody is taking on his next epic challenge - crossing Costa Rica from the Caribbean Sea to the Pacific Ocean in order to raise £75,000.
Covering 300km over 8 days, Lewis and his team will trek, kayak , mountain bike and raft across this stunning but demanding terrain as they battle jungle and river, volcano and white water. Crossing altitudes of over 2,300ms and enduring extreme heat and humidity, cold fog and sudden downpours as they cross from the east to west coast of Costa Rica, the team will be pushed to their physical and mental limits.
Every penny the team raises through sponsorship can help to raise awareness of brain tumours in children and young people through the award winning and more importantly life-saving HeadSmart campaign. Earlier diagnosis can save lives and reduce long term, life altering disabilities as mum Claire Lloyd told us, "Tuesday noon I saw the HeadSmart webise and by lunchtime my son's tumour had been found and he'd had surgery. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts - that information saved his life."
