The new Centre for Creativity is Theatre Royal Wakefield’s focus for 2017. It will transform the way people experience live theatre in Wakefield. The glass frontage onto Westgate will create a dramatic statement, inviting you inside to relax in a contemporary cafe/bar before enjoying a show in the new 100 seat Studio Theatre. 

This new theatre for Wakefield District will provide a stage for young talent to grow and develop into the stars of tomorrow. You can help us take a major step towards the opening of the new Centre for Creativity in 2017.  If you share our vision and are inspired by an accessible and creative programme of performing arts then please support the Theatre’s Buy a Star Campaign.    

A Wall of Fame will make a striking feature inside the new Centre for Creativity, the first new landmark building to be developed on Westgate for several decades. You will be helping to ensure young people have the facilities to develop their creative talents locally. You will also be invited to a programme of opening events in 2018.
