Story
Suffolk Artlink and Allied Health Professionals Suffolk have joined forces for the 2017 Great East Swim!
Together, a team of 15 will be taking part in the Great East Swim 2017 at Alton Water. We're raising money to help Suffolk Artlink provide even more people with the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of taking part in the arts.
Suffolk Artlink provide inspirational and inclusive opportunities to people who face barriers to taking part in the arts, including young people, older people, family carers and people with learning disabilities.
Changing lives
People like Ruth and Patrick, who have taken part in JumpstART! - an arts course for people with learning disabilities aimed at helping them to develop creative and life skills.
"When you try something that's very challenging, you give it a go and you feel proud of yourself." Patrick
"Suffolk Artlink helped me a lot by showing me new things to do like painting, acting, poems, music, going on trips and making lots of friends. It makes me feel good and perfect and incredible!" Ruth
In the last 10 years Suffolk Artlink has helped change the lives of over 17,000 people. Please support our swimmers so that Suffolk Artlink can keep bringing pleasure, belonging, self-expression and essential skills to our communities.
It's a great time to donate
Thanks to Arts Council England Catalyst funding, we are now able to double your donations, so if we hit our target of £1,500, that's a whopping £3,000 towards Suffolk Artlink's work this year!
What your donation can help to provide
- £50 will pay for a music tutorial for young people
- £10 will buy arts materials for children in hospitals
- £110 will pay a professional artist to lead a workshop for a group of older people with dementia
Many thanks and wish us luck!
