Story

Use this campaign to donate money to Mersea Island Music Marathon.

Individual fundraisers can set up their own page linked to this campaign to raise money for the event.  The church will be making charitable donations of 50% of fundraisers donations less any gift aid after the event.

Here is our story....

Many local musicians have offered to take part in this very special fundraising event at West Mersea Parish Church.

This joint fundraising project allows each performer/group to jointly raise money for their chosen charity/cause or group and help raise much needed funds for the church to buy new audio visual equipment.

With up to 30 hours of non-stop music, we hope to bring together the community and the church.  Our ambition is to have continuous music making from 2pm Friday 11th May through to 8pm Saturday 12th May.

The church is in the centre of our community and is here for everyone to use.

The new sound and visual systems will help improve worship, enhance weddings, funeral, baptism, blessings, thanksgiving services as well as open up the building to host many other types of community events.  With links to the church hall the capacity can be increased for services.  The church can become a multi purpose venue hosting meetings, concerts and presentations.

Thank you for your support
