SSJ supports 3,500 people facing homelessness, in Hampshire, every day. In entering one of the Southampton road races in April 2017, TeamSSJ are making every step count and helping us raise funds to support some of Southampton's most disadvantaged and vulnerable residents.
Last year the money raised by TeamSSJ was enough to provide the equivalent of 180 nights accommodation in our intensive homelessness hostels; which made a real difference.
Funds raised in sponsorship at the Southampton Marathon, Half-Marathon or 10k will have a huge impact on local vulnerable and homeless people, enabling us to offer greater access to life-skills training, to stop people remaining in the harmful cycle of homelessness and help provide them with skills around budgeting, safety and cooking/healthy eating.
