Story

UPDATE: 2nd December, 2019 Last month we found that as a result of AllTrials and the Select Committee, reporting rates of clinical trial results have increased from 48% to 64%. We presented these results to the SciTech Committee and testified on how we can improve even further.  Your donation to the AllTrials fundraising appeal would help us to continue supporting organisations who are trying to report their trial results, and to continue putting pressure on those who aren't even trying.

UPDATE: 4th February, 2019   The FDAAA (N. America) and EU Clinical Trials Register (EUCTR) clinical trial tracker tools, created by Ben Goldacre's team at EBM DataLab and launched by AllTrials, make it possible to track which institutions are reporting results and which are the worst performers.  In January 2019 the UK, the House of Commons Science and Technology committee agreed to monitor which universities and institutes are falling short in reporting clinical trial results, and to call their Vice Chancellors before the committee for a public explanation.  For them to do this, and to look at company behaviour too, we need to track, validate and publicise their status for six months, and give this to the committee and to everyone else. This is 6 months of monitoring, analysis, publicity, chasing and reporting. It will cost £32,000. It will be worth it – if we fix the problem in one country fully, people in France, the US, Brazil, Australia, India and everywhere else can start doing the same.

-- AllTrials is campaigning for all clinical trials, past and present, to be registered, and for their results to be reported.
