This year our Gung-ho team are fundraising for a very special cause. We're raising money to provide new ‘sensory rooms’ at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital for patients of all ages to enjoy.   

Sensory rooms have been proven to help people with a range of Learning Disabilities and several Mental Health conditions. They can help to make people feel less anxious, more relaxed and comfortable in their care environment, which is something we always strive for.   

Although we are an orthopaedic hospital, we have a high number of patients with learning disabilities and other health needs, as well as a number of patients going through intense pressure and treatment. We believe their experience would be greatly improved by being able to offer them a sensory area.   

Our Gung-ho team are helping us to get one step further to making this happen!   £28.00 will buy us a bubble tube to help our patients relax & focus  

£100.00 could buy a large beans bag for a family to chill out on   

£200.00 could fund a state of the art sound system to play whatever calming music our patients desire   

£500.00 could fund a projector displaying calming videos; the sea, wildlife or even a underwater scene
