Ronald McDonald House Charities provides free 'home away from home' accommodation for families with seriously ill children receiving treatment in hospitals across the UK.  

There are currently 14 Ronald McDonald Houses across the UK, supporting over 7,000 families last year. However demand for accommodation is far higher than can be met.  The charity is currently in the process of building a new Ronald McDonald House in Edinburgh as well as being in the beginning stages of relocating our existing services in Oxford to a new larger site.  Once open these Houses will provide an additional 88 rooms a night for families who have seriously ill children in hospital.  

These builds need an investment of approximately £20 million and the funds raised from the London Marathon will help to build these new Houses as well as maintain our existing Ronald McDonald Houses next to children's hospitals across the UK.
