The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileIn 2016, we will begin work on our first ever house in Wales! Our 30 bedroom House will be close to Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital, and the neo-natal and paediatric intensive care units at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
As many as 100,000 children a year needing specialist medical and cancer care are treated at the hospitals. The accommodation currently provided at the hospital cannot support the number of families who need to be close to their seriously ill child. Once our Ronald McDonald House opens at the end of 2016 over 300 families each year, coming from across Wales and further afield, will be able to stay strong together. It will cost us around £5.5 million to construct and once the House opens, it will cost us £25 per night to accommodate one family.
