The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileIn 2014, Refuge stepped in and prevented a refuge in Stratford-upon-Avon from closing. Receiving no statutory income, this refuge is funded entirely through the incredible generosity of the local community.
This year, we need to raise £21,000 to continue providing our life-changing and life-saving support in Stratford-upon-Avon. Will you help us by making a donation?
Beth* was referred to Refuge last year. Her husband was very controlling and physically abusive. He controlled her finances, limited her contact with family and friends and was verbally abusive.
Since arriving at the refuge with her children, Beth has received support in accessing appropriate benefits and school places for her children requiring special educational support. We supported Beth to start bidding for properties so she can live independently.
Beth now feels stronger and more independent. She is looking forward to establishing a new home and, in time, plans to return to education.
