Story
Bournemouth Hospital Charity is proud to be holding its first-ever Walk for Wards to bring together patients, families, friends, loved ones as well as Hospital staff to celebrate a ward or department of their choice in a fun and family-friendly fundraising event.
Many of us will, at some point in our lives, have become very familiar with some of the wards and departments that help to comprise the Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospitals.
Whether you or a loved one has received treatment, or maybe you know someone who works on a ward or in a department, or maybe even work in one yourself – whatever your reason, this is your chance to support the area in your Hospital that means the most to you!
Join us at Avon Heath Country Park on Saturday 23 September 2017 as we walk to raise valuable funds to help improve your hospital for everyone who is treated, visits and works there.
Choose your challenge from a 1km, 4km or 8km walk. You can form a team or participate as an individual and select one of our many fantastic wards or departments that you want to champion. The funds you raise will go to help the area you choose!
Entry is just £10 for adults, while children under the age of 16 can walk for free and each participant is asked to raise sponsorship. All ages and abilities can Walk for Wards and you could even bring your dog along.
So whether you want to enjoy a beautiful local area of natural beauty while raising money for a great cause, or support a ward or department that means a lot to you or your loved ones, sign up to Walk for Wards now and join us in September for a great event!
