Story

We want to help people to realise that physical activity isn’t just pounding the treadmill or playing a competitive sport…and neither does it have to be anything like PE lessons at school!

The links between physical activity and good mental health and well-being are well documented. We want to encourage more of our patients at the Bradgate Mental Health Unit to try sport and exercise and discover for themselves how it can improve their self-esteem, self-control and ability to rise to challenges.

The funds raised by the Sport at the Bradgate Appeal will be used to buy a wide range sports and exercise equipment and to fund facilitated sessions, all with the aim of helping our patients find a form of sport or exercise they can enjoy, to help them with their recovery.

Please support our Sport at the Bradgate Appeal in whatever way you can.
