The Children's ED at Queen Alexandra Hospital sees in excess of 28,000 families through its doors each year. Any emergency trip to hospital can be an anxious time, and staff in the department hope to relieve this stress with an innovative and interactive 'Magic Floor'. 

The floor projects high quality images and games onto walls, flooring or a bed where they can be played with. This will help to distract children from treatment procedures, creating a calming and fun environment to benefit young patients, their families and the clinicians caring for them.

UPDATE: Staff in the Children's Emergency Department at QA have successfully reached their target of £10,000 for a Magic Floor! Congratulations to the hardworking Paeds ED fundraising team for their efforts, and a HUGE thank you to everyone who supported the appeal!
