Story
Many visitors will already know about Nigel & he has received so much love and support since arriving at the park with his eye disorder. We endeavoured to offer a sensory enclosure for him, which hit several hurdles, including COVID-19.
Now that he is finally in his new enclosure, our vets are providing life-changing medication for him, to help with his ailments... but this comes at a cost to our charity.
Nigel suffers with Exotropia, an eye condition that could render him blind in future. But more recently, he has developed acute arthritis in his front leg, which is what this special treatment is for. Our team are constantly monitoring him and his progress as he has his treatment, but he has developed a severe limp in order to reduce any further pain. Don't be alarmed when you see him, he is his usual beautiful and friendly self and we are making sure he is in no pain, but the limp remains.
Treatment is costly for the charity, but we will not give up on making sure Nigel has the best life possible. So if you can help in any way then it really will go a long way to providing his natural and enriching lifestyle. Donations will secure the future of Nigel's medication, as well as essential equipment needed for our staff and vets to monitor his progress.
