Story
HOPEWalk is back for 2017! 2017 marks 20 years since PAPYRUS was founded and we’re proud of how far we’ve come in this time. The ongoing support of our community fundraisers over the years enables us to save young lives and #talkthroughthetaboo of young suicide.
This year, HOPEWalk will take place between 7 – 15 October. We want you to organise a walk in your local community to start a conversation about suicide and raise vital funds to help us deliver our life-saving services up and down the UK. In taking part, you will be giving hope to young people and raising awareness in your community that there is help available.
Registration is just £7.50, and we’ll provide you with a pack which includes a t-shirt, balloons, wristbands and posters to help you advertise your walk, an information pack to help you make the most of your fundraising, as well guidance about the walk itself. The PAPYRUS team is also on hand for any questions you may have about your walk or fundraising. It’s super easy to organise your HOPEWalk and you can make it your own in a variety of ways! Your group might want to get together before the walk for tea and cake, or gather in the local pub afterwards. We look forward to welcoming you to the PAPYRUS family and working alongside you to prevent young suicide.
