The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileThe Teddy Care Appeal is OFSCBT's brand new appeal for '16. We are aiming to raise £200k for the redevelopment of our Transitional Care Nursery. Transitional Care is there to ensure mothers and their babies are kept together after delivery should the baby require a small amount of medical intervention but does not require admission to Intensive Care unit. It is a rare facility to find within the NHS, but Medway Maritime Hospital is lucky to have this service due to funding from the Oliver Fisher charity. Recently it has become apparent that the ward is no longer operating to its full potential in its current format. We would like to completely alter the layout of the existing bed spaces to make them as comfortable as possible for the mothers and babies we look after there; there will also be the provision of better clinical area and office area with 2 brand new bathrooms. These changes will also provide the full capacity for 8 babies and their mothers.
