Story

Unusually, the coin has been punched through the middle to create a ring shape. The silver coin was turned into a brooch and gilt in gold in around 1300. This would be a lovely gift for anyone with an interest in Italian history or with Italian ancestry - as well as local history enthusiasts or even fans of popular TV programme The Detectorists!

The minimum donation to become a Silver Adopter of this object is £30.
